In The Ghost of Jean Lafitte, Ernie Denvers is running for his life when the stolen horse he is riding collapses. He proceeds on foot until he meets a mysterious woman who leads him to an ancient Colonial house that was once the hideaway of the notorious pirate Jean Lafitte. To the woman's dismay, she finds that Denvers is not the man she was supposed to meet. The Ghost Horse is set in Wyoming in the shadows of the Tetons. Calico Rivers makes his living catching wild horses. Since his wife's death, he has lived alone with his 13-year-old son, Eddie. While eluding the sheriff, they come upon a magnificent Appaloosa stallion.
