Eight years ago, Sam Holt brought his family to Oregon and started up Rainbow Ranch. Also with them was Morgan Drew, the son of Sam's deceased best friend. Morgan wanted no part of Rainbow Ranch, instead creating the Big D Ranch, which grew to be the second largest in the area. But Morgan wants the largest - JB Ranch, owned by Jason Bell - and is convinced that the best way to get it is to marry Jason's daughter, Karen, a marriage that Jason approves of.
