Calf (See How They Grow)

The living world is depicted by close-up photography sequences in this series of natural history books for the young reader. Illustrations border each page, enhancing the photographs and providing additional information on the animals' growth or behaviour. Each of the books in the series "See How They Grow" charts the growth of the chosen mammal or bird from birth, through the first weeks or months in its growing up process. This book looks at calves, wintering in the barn, playing with the other calves and milking time. The text is in story form for parent and child to share.
