This work tells the story of the Ulster response to the challenge of Asquith's Home Rule Bill in the years between 1912 and 1914. The citizen army, led by the lawyer, Sir Edward Carson, and armed in 1914 with German rifles, landed at Larne prepared to fight the British Army to remain British.
