The First Edition, published in 1979, was substantially revised in 1992 following the Royal Navy's significant involvement in the Falklands and the First Gulf War. This completely re-illustrated Third Edition has been thoroughly revised and updated to include the Royal Navy's heavy involvement in peacekeeping and offensive actions worldwide since 1992.
