Tigers, wolves, pandas and whales are just a few of the best-known endangered species, but there are thousands more - many of them vanishing before they have even been discovered. 'Endangered Species' looks at the reasons why so many species are now threatened or endangered, and dicusses different conservation strategies. Will agriculture, industry, hunting and poaching inevitably destroy more and more wildlife? Or will it be possible to reconcile the needs of animals and humans, and create a healthy, sustainable balance in the future? Opposing viewpoints are given throughout to provide opportunities for discussion and debate.
