Native Americans (People Who Made History In...)

"Native Americans" features nine life stories, each taking up 3 pages, presented in chronological order and interweaved with page-long passages giving the historical context that links these characters. It includes the life stories of Pocahontas, King Philip, Tecumseh, Sequoyah, Sacajawea, Joseph, Geronimo, Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull. It spans the history of the Native Americans from 1492 when Columbus mistakenly discovered the Indies, to 1890 and the death of Sitting Bull, through to the situation today.
