This book examines the work of Ama Ata Aidoo from the perspectives of her early writing in Ghana of the 1960s, her development of the short story genre in Ghana and West Africa, her travel writings, and the various stylistic ways she uses poetry to communicate personal and public anxieties in a changing world.
