What makes a wife & mother, pillar of the community & partner in a cozy tea-shop suddenly run away? Joanna Gurney hardly knows herself, but she does know that Emily would understand, but Emily died 18 years ago. Joanna's husband & daughter think she is dead. But as Joanna moves along the dangerous coast of Britain, she meets other cast-offs & slowly finds that by making a voyage into her past, she might find the solution for the future
