Murder on the Withlacoochee

A rifle shot rings out and river guide, Mike Tracy, finds himself involved in a murder investigation, butting heads with his old friend, Buck Stone, the County Sheriff. Mike and Buck follow the investigation through wild sections of Citrus County, including Gum Slough on the Withlacoochee River. They have to deal with true characters ranging from wealthy land barons, and high end contractors, to Vietnam veterans living honorably in poverty conditions. Gators and water moccasins complicate their search for the killer. As usual, Mike brings his own brand of justice to Central Florida.
