How Majestic and How Grand is a line from the West Virginia state song. The words belie the true condition of the hills especially the southern counties,which for the past one hundred years have been ravaged for corporate profits and the pursuit of the dollar. During the Depression of the thirties a jobless blight lay upon the land. The few jobs available were the railroad, mining and timber industry. They were dangerous and low paying. The railroad is the power until a small community decides to fight back wherein the railroad finds someone as ruthless and bad-ass'd as themselves.
