The introductory pages of this book describe the biomes of the world and then the ocean biome. The 5 main chapters look at different aspects of oceans and beaches: climate, plants, animals, people, and future. Between the chapters are detailed maps that focus on major parts of the ocean. Throughout the book you'll also find boxed stories or fact files about oceans. At the end of the book is a glossary.
