Middlefield: Otsego Lake's Eastern Shore reveals life from the late 1800s to the mid-1900s in a thriving, close-knit community in central New York State. It explores "the Land of Steady Habits," a place where little has changed since the beginning of the twentieth century, where shadows of the nineteenth century still loom, and where the geography echoes old family names in Murphy Hill, Hubbard Hill, Whiteman Hill, and Garlock's Pond.
