The second stage in a two-part course that takes the beginner through to GCSE Spanish. It is particularly suitable for those taking Spanish GCSE over a period of three years or less. The book provides a systematic, organized approach to assist rapid programming. Book 1 covers the basic ground and should be a useful text for the first stage of GCSE course, or as a complete textbook for those following the GCSE short course in Spanish; Book 2 revisits key language structures, broadens the topic coverage, and focuses closely on the skills and knowledge required for a good grade in the full Spanish GCSE. The textbooks offer a systematic presentation of the major language structures in Spanish; each spread focuses on one specific grammar point, using examples and practising the point through a series of tasks. A storyline, following the lives and relationships of a group of Spanish-speaking characters, moves the course through the various topics specified for GCSE, and aims to ensure a good quality and quantity of cultural input.
