The World This Century: Working with Evidence

This text offers core material for Key Stage 4 of the National Curriculum and bases its approach on the use of evidence, designed to enhance pupils' skills in dealing with historical data. The book contains 170 evidence and test-based exercises. The book focuses on the main historical events of the 20th century and examines in particular the superpower rivalries in Europe and the conflicts in South East Asia, the Middle East and South Africa. The format of the book incorporates photographs, newspaper extracts, documents, eye-witness accounts, cartoons and maps.
