This book gives an introduction to pottery techniques, taking the reader through the various stages from the preparation of clay, through the forming processes such as pinching, slab building, throwing and making cast pottery from plaster moulds, to calculating glaze formulas, firing and decorating pottery. John Colbeck has also written "Pottery - Techniques of Decoration" and "Pottery - the Technique of Throwing".
