Shop labels and toy-maker's marks gradually appeared during the middle of the nineteeth century and by 1875 the Trademarks Registration Act enforced the registration of all trademarks. The author har re-drawn the thousands of toy marks which are here reproduced,. Roughly 70 years are covered in which each mark has its authentic date, maker and address.
