In the north Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, high in the Himalayas, is an ancient land steeped in legend. It was here that Bill Adams, on vacation with his family, met Sangratan the Amchi. Sangratan, a healer, was a man of extraordinary powers who traveled from farm to farm dispensing medicines and knowledge. Adams was intrigued and sought him out.
