The Trouble With The Law (LIN)

Investigating the massacre of a wagon train, brand-new Pinkerton range detective Levi Hall quickly realizes it was not perpetrated by Indians. He barely survives a severe beating, is befriended by a very strange foreigner and is torn between the attractions of two very different women. Levi discovers that the trouble with the law is he cannot choose his battles, or bend that law when it threatens those he favours - and soon he faces death at every turn.
