The Elusive Doctor (LIN)

Wearing spectacles to make herself appear more dignified, twenty-year-old Candy gained the longed-for post as secretary to the two principals of a school in the African mountains. She was often overworked, sometimes shocked, occasionally unhappy. But all through her days at the school there ran a single thread, which bound her to the one person with whom she felt most at ease, the man who finally said unforgivable, hurtful things - the man she could not forget.
