The Claws Of The Gryphon (U)

December 1944, and in the Ardennes the Germans have just launched their offensive against raw American troops. Experiencing the first shock of that onslaught is Conner, a young U.S. lieutenant, who also witnesses the deliberate murder of two of their fellows by three G.I.'s travelling away from the battle zone. These three are not deserters, but hand-picked German troops, part of Operation Gryphon, designed to cause terror and confusion in the U.S. ranks. In a story of ever tightening tension British and American sources combine to try and frustrate the enemy.
