The Neurodevelopmental Model of Evaluation and Intervention

The Neurodevelopmental Model guides the clinician in the systematic examination of sequential cognitive processes that directly relate to cognitive products (academics) from birth to adulthood. The neurodevelopmental model has three developmental periods or blocks: Block 1 - Sensory - 0 to 4 years of age; Block 2 - Integrative - 4 to 11 years; Block 3 - Generative - 11 to Adult. This reference guide provides tables that detail how cognitive processes and products vary by Block. It also provides detailed tables that offer suggestions for assessment methods and possible interventions for each of the 10 cognitive processes and products at each of the three developmental periods.
