When a child is diagnosed with cancer, his or her siblings may struggle with complex emotions such as confusion, guilt, and fear. Jamie finds solace through journaling about her experience, and encourages the reader to write about his or her own journey on the pages provided in the book. Speckles, a lovable dog, guides the siblings through the journal offering prompts to activate their minds. What makes the book unique is that it doesn't matter what the diagnosis is; it's the rollercoaster of emotions that the siblings endure as they try to navigate around those feelings that are building up inside of them.
