Avoiding Detours, Dead Ends, and Wrong Turns

We have all done foolish things in our lives, and we have all made some wise choices in our lives. Our lives are full of choices. Wisdom's call is for everyone not just an elite group. We have the choice to choose wisdom and accept its invitation and reap the results or we can choose foolishness and reap those results. Proverbs presents life as a road an on this road we have choices. One of the themes that is constantly brought out in the book of Proverbs, is that the fool will be destroyed by his own foolishness, but the one who obeys the voice of wisdom will live securely. The goal of this book is to help us stay on the right path, missing the detours, not running into the dead ends, and not making wrong turns that might cause us to end up on the wrong road or in the ditch.
