Both Wings Flappin', Still Not Flyin'

This is a poetry and prose collection whose continuous thread is the development of a loving maternal/child relationship, formed between a young girl and a woman who was in the employ of the girl's family, and brought forward into adulthood. As the story unfolds, the characters' roles reverse, and the girl--now a young woman--becomes the caretaker, revealing a bond that bridges race and class.
