You Better Come Home With Me

"You better come home with me," says the Scarecrow to the Boy who wandered into town one late winter day. It was just an expression - the local way of leaving without saying good-bye. But the boy is a stranger to the tiny Appalachian town, so he replies simply, "Thank you," and gets to go along. And so the story began--for the Boy had come down the road from the west looking for he knew not what, and this mountain country to which he had come was full of magic.
