Maggie Lane's Needlepoint Pillows.

Maggie Lane's striking original designs are based on Chinese motifs derived from paintings, porcelains, rugs, and other textiles. In this book we reproduce a dozen of her favorite pillows selected from her first two books, NEEDLEPOINT BY DESIGN and MORE NEEDLEPOINT BY DESIGN. These have been chosen to make effective pairs, if desired, and are of various shapes- square, oblong, circular, and octagonal. All are fully graphed, with suggested color combinations, and directions are given for finishing. A thirteenth pillow- reproduced on the cover- has never been published before. It is a fascinating combination of abstract motifs which can be adapted to various uses, such as all-over designs or backgrounds on large pieces, or for small objects such s coasters, pincushions, eyeglass cases, etc.
