Description:
Sneetches, Fiffer-feffer-feffs, Glotz with spots, and other singularly Seussian creations teach the concepts of same and different in this exciting set of 30 flashcards (3.375 by 5.75 inches). On one side of the card is a clue to read out loud; on the other side are color pictures that contain a discrepancy in number, pattern, or characteristic--or that don't. When you show your child the illustration while reading the clue, they must identify the difference or likeness. For example, a clue for one is "This group has four Bloogs"; the illustration, with the header "Bloogs blowing by," shows four groups and only one group has four Bloogs. The child should point to that group. After a couple rounds, try variations on this to challenge your young learner's memory, ability to match cards with similarities, and understanding of numbers. (Preschool to grade 2)
