The Scott Foresman World Atlas puts a wealth of information into your hands. It gives you an exciting, accurate, up-to-date view of the world - without having to assume any obligation for holding up the sky! The introductory section on reading maps and using an atlas will provide the necessary skills to use the rest of the book to the best advantage. Our goal, in other words, is to help you become an informed user of maps in addition to providing a basic reference tool. But, we would be disappointed if you did not also catch a sense of discovery, excitement, and wonder when using these maps.
