Top of the World

Top of the World is a novel of life and adventure among the Polar Eskimos, a small and scattered race whose mode of living has never changed. I that distant land near the magnetic North Pole there are more bears than Eskimos; the nights are six months long and the moral customs are often exactly opposite to our own. This is a novel of adventure and danger and courage among a primitive people. But though it is fiction, the social, sexual, and eating habits of its characters, the religious beliefs, medical practices, and other modes and manners are sober anthropological facts.
