The Penguin Dictionary of Science

This dictionary provides an explanation of the basic vocabulary of physics, chemistry, mathematics and astronomy, with a smattering of the words used in biochemistry, biophysics and molecular biology. All numerical information is given in s1 units. The dictionary is designed as a student's handbook and for the specialist outside his own field, as well as for the general reader.
