Rituals for the Celebration of Later Life (Older Adult Issues Series)

The United Nations set forth "Principles for Older Persons" in order to guide programming, celebrative activities, and dialogue concerning issues of older persons during the International Year. Those principles are: 1) Independence, 2) Participation, 3) care, 4) self Fullfillment, 5) Dignity.The Older Adult series seeks to address in some way the range of issues outlined by the United Nations for the 1999 United International Year of the Older Persons.
