As a Man Thinketh
Description:
Product Description The aphorism, "As a man thinketh in his heart so is he," not only embraces the whole of a man's being, but is so comprehensive as to reach out to every condition and circumstance of his life. A man is literally what he thinks, his character being the complete sum of all his thoughts. That is the opening of James Allen's classic bestselling self help book. This is one of the books that inspired The Secret and made The Law of Attraction such a major draw in recent years. The truth in this book is universal. The premise that your thoughts will dictate who you are and what you can achieve will prove helpful as you strive to improve every aspect of your life. You choose your thoughts and in so doing, you choose your destiny. About the Author James Allen (1864-1912) pioneered the self-help genre. From humble beginnings, he rose to prominence as an author where he could pursue his spiritual and social philosophies. His mother was illiterate, and his father was believed to have been murdered during a robbery, so James Allen left school at the age of fifteen to seek employment. In 1893, he moved to London, met his future wife and began publishing a magazine called The Light of Reason, which eventually changed its name to The Epoch. He is best known for his short book As a Man Thinketh.
