This collection of chapters will let the reader understand how other anglers saw Bill - and mostly admired him. Some of Bill's behavior may seem rude or mean, but there were many Bill Schaadts. The one most visible, was that of a totally consumed person who would let nothing come between him and his daily passion. Another, more elusive, was a very warm and sensitive person who greatly valued his friendships. And as abrupt as Bill could be, he did not like to have enemies - particularly mean ones - who might do him harm later. He could fret about a verbal skirmish for days, and would try to mend fences later if possible.
