"There Ain't No Fences"

Harold J. Jacobsen is a member of an original Nevada pioneer family and was raised on the family ranch in Diamond Valley, Nevada. In his book There Ain't No Fences, Harold's stories of the successes and challenges of ranching and surviving in rural Nevada during the early 1800's and 1900's illustrate how one can overcome any obstacle in life by not seeing it as a "fence" but as an opportunity to learn, grow, and try new things. He truly has lived the American way by changing his situations in order to succeed. His message is, "It might not always be easy, but there are always ways to overcome and to succeed and be happy. Never give up."
