Student Protest: The Sixties and After

This text attempts to break through the mists of nostalgia surrounding the 1960s. It covers protests in the USA, France, Mexico and Great Britain, and examines more recent examples of student activism, particulary in China, Korea and Iran. The text reveals well-established patterns of protest, similar tactics and ultimately the same disappointments in protests in Berkeley, Berlin, Tehran and Tian'anmen Square.
