Dark Watches

A young classics professor disappears in a snowstorm. She has been attacked by a mountain lion. Local authorities hire professional hunters to track the animal. A parallel plot develops when a young student is violently assaulted in a park by a knife-wielding assailant. The victim's father is a medical examiner who becomes obsessed with pursuing the attacker. All of the characters inevitably become involved in each other's lives as the plots drive toward dramatic conclusions.
