German for Singers

German for Singers is a systematic, easy-to-use approach to mastering German diction, including a full range of exercises as well as all the information singers need to develop their own methods for dealing with German vocal literature. Exercises are provided for learning the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) and for learning to transcribe into this universally accepted shorthand system. The full range of German sounds is described, including the many exceptions to the standard rules of pronunciation.
