Industrial & Systems Engineering Professional Engineering Exam Study Guide

This study guide is a complete and thorough review of Industrial Engineering concepts; and knowledge areas that will be covered within the PE Industrial and Systems Exam generated by NCEES. It organizes a very large and complex body of knowledge into simple and easy to understand outline. The author created this study guide after successfully passing the IE PE Exam, and understanding the frustration with the lack of complete study material for the exam. This guide aims to alleviate the need for multiple review materials by: Providing at least 3 solved problems for each topic and subtopic outlined in the NCEES “PE Industrial and Systems exam specifications” for the new testing format beginning in October 2020, detailing all necessary formulas including how/why/when to use them, a glossary of 270 IE terms and definitions, and all necessary tables and charts (Ergonomic, Economic, Statistical, etc.) that could be used on the exam. This guide includes over 250 solved example problems that utilize NCEE’s “alternate item types (ALT’s)”, to help prepare the test taker for the new question format starting October 2020.
