The Desert Reveals The Rose: Learning that the Desert and Wilderness seasons are often a Gift from God

The reality is that we will all experience dry and challenging seasons in our walk in the Lord. The purpose of the book is for us to learn how to properly respond when we are in those times, because the Hand of the Lord has positioned us in those seasons. Our predisposition is to want to navigate around or bypass challenging times, but the Lord uses them to bring us into greater maturity. He uses the desert and wilderness times to equip us and prepare our hearts for the fruitful seasons ahead. His desire is for us to go through the process victoriously with Him, producing in us hearts dependent on and trusting entirely on Him. Will we draw closer to Him and seek deeper intimacy, or will we turn away and even allow our hearts to become angry toward Him or offended by Him because of these seasons and circumstances. Will we allow disappointment to define us or will we let His faithfulness guide us. Will we let our hearts become offended? Framed upon Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end” we will find that all the seasons of our lives are beautiful (including the desert, barren, wilderness, sorrowful or challenging times.) The goal of allowing us to experience these different seasons is for us to have the revelation that eternity has been deposited in our hearts and that we are eternally His sons and daughters, because we believe in the full work of Calvary and in what Jesus Christ did for us. This book takes an in-depth look at various themes, passages and individuals who have made the choice to trust Him, no matter what. May all our wilderness times and beyond, demonstrate that “The Desert reveals the Rose!”
