Johnny Winters

"Johnny Winters" is a ballad about a young boy who is physically different from his peers, yet through his struggles, teaches the other children about overcoming adversity and the importance of love and kindness. Throughout the book, Johnny is plagued by bullying from his fellow classmates, until one day a miraculous and heart wrenching race changes everything.

This is a story to be shared among children to teach the values of acceptance among others. Bullying is a real world problem and by beginning conversations and sharing our own personal stories, we can begin to make a change with the youngest of readers.
