The Hour of the Donkey

Set in the front lines during World War II, this novel tells of an ill-matched pair of volunteer and under-trained officer, who find themselves in possession of a top secret. The author, who wrote "The Labyrinth Makers", won a Crime Writers' Association's Gold Dagger for "Other Paths to Glory".
