Split second: A play in two acts

SETTING: New York City, Manhattan. TIME: The present. The action of the play begins on the evening of July 4th and ends on the morning of July 6th. SET: A continuous flow of action, set on various platforms with suggestions of time and place, suggestions of New York City (Manhattan), and minimum props. MUSIC: The music should be comparable to the sound of wind chimes, tinkling, almost trembling. Its effect should be mysterious, haunting and melancholy.
