On the eighth day of Creation, God brought forth one of his most special wonders, Georges, a man with Down's syndrome. His meeting with Harry, a PR executive who leads an empty, alienated existence, has a decisive effect on both of them. Georges turns Harry's life topsy-turvy and in the process opens his eyes to the grace of the apparently ordinary, restoring him to a world of warmth and feeling.Toto the Hero tells the story of an old man, Thomas, looking back on a life blighted by bitterness and envy. Past and present intermingle as Thomas tries to make sense of his life in a manner reminiscent of Dennis Potter's The Singing Detective.
