An anthology in which fiction, poetry, fashion, art and journalism are filtered through pop music, and which includes work by authors such as Thom Gunn, Joe Orton and Roddy Doyle. It charts the course of pop from its underground origins, through its high and low-art phases, out to the mainstream.
