Philip's Atlas of World History

This new edition of the "Philip's Atlas of World" History, first published in 1981, has been fully updated to take account of major world events in the 1990s. It combines detailed text and maps to trace the development of human society in its physical setting, from the Stone Age to the Modern Age, describing not only the boundaries, military conquests and trade routes of successive civilisations, but also the climate and terrain of the world through the ages.
