SCANS 2000:: Designing an Information System Virtual Workplace Simulation CD with User's Guide

In Designing an Information System, Large Aerospace Corporation's paper-based order system is costing the company millions in lost productivity. The challenge is to develop a streamlined electronic order system. In this workplace users will: 1) interview key company staff and work with a team to define the problem. 2) work through the problem solving process to identify and establish criteria 3) investigate available software for a paperless tracking system 4) use computer technology throughout the process including a culminating presentation to the company managers. User Guide will facilitate the completion of the activities from the CD-ROM simulation. System Requirements for CD-ROM: Windows 95, 98, 2000 or NT. Intel Pentium or Pentium II processor (or equivalent), 75 MHz minimum (166 MHz for Windows 2000), 16 MB RAM or higher (32 MB for Windows 2000 and NT), 4x (minimum) CD-ROM drive, floppy disk drive, minimum 256-color, 640 X 480 resolution, SoundBlaster-compatible, 16-bit sound card, access to printer and Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 or higher (can be installed from CD-ROM).
