Contemporary Corrections (with InfoTrac)

This text presents an alternative to the larger, 700 page-plus, expensive texts available to students. By focusing on a "back to basics" approach, it gives students everything they need to know for future coursework without excessive coverage. Written at an accessible level, it presents the role corrections plays in society within the criminal justice system. It also deals with the corrections continuum and with community-based corrections.
