Theories of Personality

This undergraduate text describes 21 personality theories of contemporary interest. Each theory is presented as a whole (its principles, its techniques for diagnosing and treating personality disorders, and its research support). Where appropriate, the development of the theory is related to significant events in the theorists life and to the intellectual and social context in which the theorist worked.
