Do animals really have souls? If so, would this be merely of comfort to animal lovers or would it revolutionize our thoughts of God? From his earliest childhood days, the author has had a deep conviction that his friends in the animal kingdom understood him and could share his feelings, whether of happiness or of grief. It was second nature to him to believe that they would also share the same afterlife. To give a sound basis to his instinctive belief, the author, now a Presbyterian minister, looked to the Bible for reassurance, for, as he says "The Bible is where we find the certainty for the hope of heaven and eternity.
